The season has started and everything is fixed?
Not at all! Our team, our crew, our family continues to develop. The racers have grown again, and we are also trying to continuously strengthen the skills of the team behind the team. Just in time for the middle of the year, we can present three new personalities who will accompany us from now on.
Philipp Bachl strengthens our staff in the areas of sports management, sports science and organisation. He has been working in competitive sports as a trainer and coach since 2013; before that he was an active competitive athlete himself (cross-country skier). For the past three years, he has been a coach in the ÖSV for the cross-country skiing division and has achieved top 10 placings with his athletes at the last Olympic Games in Beijing, among other things. “Cycling has always been an area in which I wanted to further my education. And after the offer from Pushbikers, the step to switch to summer sports was a little easier for me. I am looking forward to new tasks and challenges”. Philipp had his first official assignment with the racers at Rund um Köln, and he was also responsible for the multi-day tour Fleche du Sud together with Rupert Hödlmoser.
Welcome to the Team, Alex!
Since May 2022, the Australian Alexander Evans has completed our team. He was already known to team manager Christian Grasmann as the “Bendigo kid” several years ago. In 2021, Alex rode for the World Tour team Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert-Matériaux, in the years before for Circus-Wanty-Gobert, SEG Racing Team and BMC Racing Team. His greatest successes to date include a second stage place in the Herald Sun Tour (UCI 2.1) and the Tour de l`Avenir. As a mountain rider, Alex is an absolute enrichment for our Pushbikers squad this year. In the past few weeks, Alex has been able to get to know his teammates and all the staff and has already gained Bundesliga experience at the Erzgebnirgsrundfahrt and the Preis der Südlichen Weinstraße and was also used in the cycling classic Rund um Köln. “G`day, mate!”
